Auburn and Adairville Plants Close

By  |

The Auburn Hoisery Mill, a Kellwood Company, announced it will eliminate various manufacturing and supervisory positions at its Auburn and Adairville facilities.

The company will eliminate approximately 190 departmental and relational positions by the end of December. Those in charge blame the continuous change in product mix and operating costs for the decision.

They also say they regret having to eliminate the jobs, but say they will work with agencies to help employees make the transition and will provide severance to those who qualify. Extended Web Coverage
