Two people are recovering from injuries this Dec. 12 morning after high winds took off the roof of an Eastern Kentucky church still under construction.
Those injured were taken to the hospital.
One was treated for injuries related to a slip off a ladder.
The other received a gash on the head.
Workers say wind gusts ripped through the construction site.
"It was just so instantaneous, there was no holding them back," said Tony Murphy, the construction company owner.
Nine people were working on the church when the roof collapsed, they say they barely got out of the way.
