The New York Blower Company will soon be calling Leitchfield home.
Taking over an existing building the the Judge Kenneth H. Goff Industrial Park, it will be one of several satellite factories for the company in the United States.
"They really want us here," says President of the company, Joe Centers, "it's a beautiful building, it's a great location, transportation wise it fits with out customer base,"
Centers says they had several offers from other places in the US, but Leitchfield had the right fit.
Governor Steve Beshear made the trip Wednesday, to make the announcement and the 4 point 8 million dollar investment.
The company makes everything from grain dryers, to snow makers, "almost everything you see, that you have the buy, goes through some kind of industrial process that needs air moving across it to be produced. So, those are the kinds of fans we make," says Centers.
The company is looking for 125 people to work in the manufacturing section.
The Governor says, it takes work for those in Frankfort to put aside bi-partisan politics for projects like these to be completed.
"You know, when it comes to a job for a Kentuckian no one cares whether they're a republican or democrat. The fact that we're Kentuckians and we need to work together to get good things to happen."
