Rescuers Search Green River After Claim That Body Was Tossed In River

Two people are in custody in Morgantown after a bizarre claim that a body was tossed into the river.

Rescue crews were seen searching along the Green River earlier this week.

21-year old Sheena Embry told police a body had been dumped there.

Embry herself was found severely injured and covered in blood on Dec. 10 at an apartment above a Morgantown dry cleaning business.

Timmy Keown, who was also found at the apartment, was charged with wanton endangerment and possession of meth.

Embry made the claim about the body after being released from the hospital this week.

Police say nothing has been found and there are no reports of a missing person.

On Dec. 21, Embry and Keown were both charged with tampering with physical evidence and Keown was also charged with rape.

Keown is being held on a $100,000 bond.

A preliminary hearing is expected Dec. 28 in Butler District Court.
