A local restaurant decided to spread some holiday cheer Dec. 22, by laying down a large spread for the community.
Shake Rag Restaurant on College Street in Bowling Green opened its doors and its pantries for a free dinner.
Guests were encouraged to bring a gift marked "boy" or "girl," and of course, Santa was on hand to give the presents away to children.
The dinner, open to anyone, began as a tradition seven years ago.
According to one of the restaurant's servers, it takes many helping hands to make the event happen.
"All of our workers that work here are here and then we have some that volunteer their work too just to help out. So, it's good," said Cathy Franklin.
In addition to dinner, guests were also treated to music, storytelling and even some karaoke.
