Police in Central Kentucky have a mystery on their hands after finding a decomposing body near a motel.
A death investigation is underway in Estill County after the body was discovered Christmas day off Highway 52 In Irvine.
The body was found just before dusk near the Oak Tree Inn.
The remains are believed to have been there for less than three months.
So far there is no word on the identity of the man.
"We do have human remains partially skelatized; there is clothing and some personal effects, it is an adult male," stated Dr. Emily Craig, a Kentucky medical examiner.
Police have not released any details about how the man might have died.
