The state of Kentucky will run out of money by June, unless something is done now.
That's according to Governor Steve Beshear, who says Kentucky is operating with a shortfall of more than 400-million dollars.
Now, he's promised to make some big budget cuts, hoping to get the state back on track.
"My top priority in finding a solution to this problem is to make sure the most needy of us are taken care of," stated Beshear.
The govenor is also considering a hiring freeze as a possible option.
