Four of sixteen Kentucky State Police posts around the state are starting to use the mobile data computer in their cars. They say, calling to dispatch takes a while when stopping speeders or looking for wanted suspects.

With the new system, they can scan your license and have your record up on their screen in seconds. The mobile data computer will help them save up to four minutes on ticketing motorists.

Instead of getting a description of a missing child from dispatch back at post, troopers will now get an image on their computer screen of the missing child.
