Teen Tobacco Conference

According to the American Lung Association, each day nearly 6,000 children under the age of 18 start smoking, which is why advocates of non-smoking say it's important to educate kids.

With that in mind, students from ten area high schools gathered at the Sloan Convention Center for a Youth Tobacco Conference.

The students say they've learned what smoking can do to their health, and the organizers say it's important for kids to know the effects of tobacco.

The kids we spoke to say they're going to take what they learned back to their school and help educate their peers.
