Many residents of South Central Kentucky face a big problem. They can't speak English.
After immigrating to America in search of opportunity, these people are lacking the English language skills they need to succeed.
The International Center of Bowling Green is helping with this situation by offering English classes.
Students are initially taught basic survival language such as how to say your name and address.
Later in the course, students learn more advanced grammar and vocabulary.
The classes are open to the public.
The United Way sponsors the classes.
