About 150 people are homeless after a fire swept through homes and businesses in Lawrence, Massachusetts on Jan. 21.

The blaze started in a nightclub that was being renovated and spread through 16 buildings.

Only one injury was reported.

At least 50 people spent the night in a Red Cross shelter.

The nightclub owner says he intended to open a bar and restaurant in the space.

He said renovations started about two months ago, and that he put about $300,000 into the building, but now has nothing because he didn't have insurance.
