After months of anticipation, David Garvin finally unveiled his vision for an RV campground off Exit 6 in Simpson County.
The $53.3 million project, funded by Garvin, will create more than 830 new jobs and attract at least 1.8 million tourists each year.
"It'll really put a personality on Franklin. We will work hard also to preserve the beauty of the land; that's the number one thing we have going for us."
Campers will take up the majority of the 800 acres, but the project also calls for an RV Supershow, a repair center, a convenience store, fill stations, and restaurants.
"Planning in my mind has taken a lot of time. I've thought through the development and changed some over time. There will be much more to come in the future."
