Catherine Rice Holderfield will take the bench as a Family Court Judge after working in law for 15 years.
Holderfield is hoping to help ease the number of cases the current Warren County Family Court Judge, Margaret Huddleston, takes on.
Judge Huddleston says last year the Warren County Family Court System handled around 2,700 cases. That's compared to the 1,500 cases an average judge in our state sees each year.
Besides relieving some of the caseload, Holderfield says she's hoping to address concerns efficiently and quickly.
Holderfield will be sworn in April 15th at the Warren County Courthouse.
