The search for a missing Monroe County teenager is over. Sixteen-year-old Janet Quijano was found around 3 p.m. CST in Vernon, Texas.

One man who was with Quijano was taken into custody. Vernon is close to one thousand miles from the girl's home in Tompkinsville. The Monroe County High School student went missing while she was waiting for her school bus yesterday morning. According to Vernon Police Chief, Allan Metcalfe, Quijano appears to be in good condition with no injuries. The FBI and other agencies are still trying to determine if Quijano was forced against her will, or if she went willingly with the man in custody.

According to the FBI, Quijano called an FBI agent and said she and a male acquaintance were at a hotel in Vernon, Texas. Vernon police officers located Quijano at the hotel with Salvador Perez. Perez was arrested by the Vernon Police Department and charged with custodial interference. FBI agents from the Dallas division and Witchita Falls resident agency will also be interviewing Quijano and Perez.
