15 Month Old Child Left in Car At Walmart on Morgantown Road

Bowling Green Police have charged a mother with wanton endangerment for leaving her 15 month old daughter in a hot car Wednesday.

The mother of the child, Amy Helton, says she forgot her daughter was in the van because she didn't realize the child was with her.

Police say they found the child sitting in a car seat in a mini van at Walmart on Morgantown Road.

Police say the vehicle wasn't running and the windows were slightly down.

Police say the child was in the hot car for 34 minutes.

The child was taken to the Medical Center and released.
