Black Hawk Lands At Bowling Green High School

Updated: Thu 11:45 PM, May 10, 2012

It was an exciting day at Bowling Green High School, as a National Guard Black Hawk helicopter landed in their front yard!

The aircraft came to the school today as part of the high school's ROTC program.

Students were able to get tours of the chopper and learn a bit about aviation.

The helicopter flew in from Frankfort this morning.

Sergeant First Class, Douglas McKinney is with the Jr. ROTC program at BGHS, "we've asked the Army National Guard to bring this helicopter here today, as well as the Army Recruiting Command they have a rock wall set up and also the decked out hummer."

The helicopter and its crew provide tours like this about twice a month.
