Louisville Woman Drowns In Lake

SHELBYVILLE, Ky. (AP) -- A Louisville woman is dead after drowning in a Shelby County lake.

Shelby County chief deputy coroner Jeff Ivers told The Courier-Journal that 34-year-old Amanda Frank was boating with another adult and a juvenile on Saturday when all three went into the water.

Rescue crews found Frank unconscious and took her to Jewish Hospital in Shelbyville, where she was pronounced dead.

Shelby County police and the Kentucky Department of Fish and Wildlife are investigating.
