Rain Doesn't Hurt Mother's Day Business

Updated: Mon 2:56 AM, May 14, 2012

It's not been the most beautiful of Mother's Days, but downtown business still had a big crowd.

People also brought in gifts to share with their mothers and grandmothers on this holiday.

Restaurants thought people might not come out because of the weather, but one local place even had couples down from Elizabethtown just to eat in Bowling Green.

"Rain actually didn't put a damper on anything, a lot of people came out. We actually extended our hours today from three o'clock to seven o'clock. Mother nature itself couldn't even stop people from coming in on mother's day. It's a special day, so it's a very very good day," said Bistro Server Sasha Hasanagic.

The Bistro even provided a special menu today for its customers.
