Missing Morehead Student Calls Home from New Mexico

MOREHEAD, Ky. (AP) -- Police say a Morehead State University student last seen Wednesday has called his parents and said he is in New Mexico.

Police told the Lexington Herald-Leader (http://bit.ly/JpSRUz ) that 20-year-old Daniel Hiser of Milledgeville, Ohio, didn't give an explanation for his disappearance, but is well and continues to communicate with his family.

Hiser was reported missing after his 2000 Ford Expedition struck a building.

The Fayette County, Ohio, Sheriff's Department says police were contacted Sunday morning by a couple who said they picked up Hiser on Thursday in Southern Indiana and took him to Little Rock, Ark.
