Friday, two days ahead of schedule, state officials gathered for the re-opening of the Eggners Ferry Bridge.
The bridge provides an entrance to the western side of "land between the lakes national recreation area."
It was hit by a cargo ship carrying space rocket parts this past January.
The impact tore off a 322 foot span of the bridge.
Lieutenant Governor Jerry Abramson and other officials held a ceremony on the bridge Friday, before its re-opening.
