A Barren County man is recovering tonight after being shot and robbed in his own home.

Dallas Flowers says 2 women knocked on his door just after 10 last night, and when he let them in, they shot him in the stomach, tied him up with duct tape, and ransacked his house.

Authorities are still looking for the 2 women and an unidentified man who they believe drove a getaway car.

Neighbors believe the shooters must have known what they were looking for, because Flower's house sits at the end of a dead end country road.

"At first I wasn't scared because I thought it was just something that happened down there. But when they said they thought coming and said they were lost and robbed him and shot him, then yeah, kinda scared now," said Maranda Proffitt, a neighbor.

"This is the first time anything like this has ever happened down here," said Anna Coates, who's lived in the neighboring apartment complex for 17 years.

Flowers is hospitalized in serious condition tonight, and authorities say it will a couple of days before they can interview him again for more information.
