Houchin Family Reacts

An area family is looking to the future after being awarded one of the largest jury verdicts in the state's history. Shannon Houchin, a 19-year-old who was severely injured in an accident two years ago is being awarded $27 million.

A Warren Circuit Jury found Monarch Environmental responsible for the accident. In the next few weeks, Shannon will be heading to a rehabilitation facility called Neuroskills in Texas for two years. The attorney for the defendant says the company will appeal the verdict.
