Bowling Green's City Commission has delayed a decision on how to spend nearly $2 million in unexpected tax revenue.
Commissioner Brian Strow had proposed putting all of that money into the Circus Square project, a centerpiece of downtown redevelopment efforts.
But Strow pulled that item off the agenda tonight after the Downtown Redevelopment Authority's executive director asked him to.
Strow says he hopes to put it back on again at the next commission meeting.
How to spend the city's $1.8 million surplus will be one of the issues the commission addresses during a marathon of budget-related work sessions next week.
