Balloons Coming Back to Bowling Green

Balloons are coming back to bowling green this year! The last balloon classic here was in 2003, and after the break last year, the event is coming back with some new additions.

Prime time events and U.S. Bank announced details of "U.S. Bank Balloons, Tunes and Bar-B-Que" this morning. The new twist this year is the addition of a "Memphis in May Sanctioned Contest Network Barbeque Competition."

The "U.S. Bank Balloons, Tunes and Bar-B-Que 2005" is set for September 16 though 18 at the Bowling Green Warren County Regional Airport.

A Friday night balloon glow and tether rides will kick off the weekend. Hot air balloon pilots from all over the country will compete for $10,000 in cash prizes. A country music concert is also planned, but the artist will be announced at a later date.
