The Dave Thomas Foundation for Adoption is launching a campaign dedicated to putting thousands of foster children in permanent homes.
The founder of Wendy’s was adopted himself and established a foundation dedicated to providing every child with a permanent home.
Dave Thomas passed away in 2002, but the "Wendy's Wonderful Kids" campaign is an extension of his legacy.
This program will provide funding for specially-designated adoption recruiters in all fifty states.
By the end of 2006, 100 adoption recruiters will be in place, and in the next five years, the foundation hopes to have placed eight to ten thousand children in permanent homes.
