Police got the first call about half hour after midnight Tuesday morning. They discovered a glass panel smashed out of the front door at the CVS Pharmacy at Lovers Lane and Scottsville Road. Inside, the thief had stolen 2800 hydrocodone tablets worth almost $6,000.
About 15 minutes later, police responded to a burglary in progress at the CVS Pharmacy on the Bypass. As they arrived, they saw a man running from the business, but were unable to catch him. This time, the thief stole hydrocodone, Lorcet, and Lortabs worth a total of more than $2500.
Police are looking for a white male, last seen wearing a ski mask and dark color shirt, running toward the south end of the 31W Bypass. If you have any information on these drug thefts, please call Bowling Green Police at 393-4000.
