GREENVILLE, Ky. (AP) -- A western Kentucky woman and her son have been charged in the death of the woman's husband.
Kentucky State Police Trooper Stu Recke says 64-year-old Deanna Slaton of Greenville and 39-year-old Joel Allen were arrested Wednesday night in connection with the death of 65-year-old Floyd Slaton.
Recke says the pair brought Floyd Slaton to the Muhlenberg Community Hospital ER on May 28 and told doctors he had fallen down the stairs.
Recke said an autopsy showed that Floyd Slaton died from multiple blunt force trauma to the head.
Allen is charged with murder and tampering with physical evidence. Deanna Slaton is charged with hindering prosecution and tampering with physical evidence.
Both were in the Muhlenberg County Detention Center. Jail records did not list an attorney for either person.
