Starting Wednesday, Kentuckians can receive a free copy of their credit reports.
A spokeswoman for the Federal Trade Commission says it's important to know what's in your credit report, especially since a lot of other people are seeing it.
Consumers can order the reports by mail, online at annualcreditreport.com, or by phone at 877-322- 8228.
You'll receive the reports from the three nationwide credit bureaus, Equifax, Experian, and Transunion.
