Franklin Girl Receives Wish

An eleven-year old girl got the surprise of her life when she came down to the Franklin square Saturday afternoon.

Franklin native, Destiny Dyer suffers from a brittle bone disease called Osteogenisis Imperfecta. The disease has kept her from getting to do a lot of things in her life, but that didn’t stop her from achieving her dream of riding in a sidecar of a Harley Davidson motorcycle.

“It’s really neat,” Destiny said.

Around a hundred bikers from different groups like the Christian Motorcycles Association and Unite Bikers Against Drugs came out to ride with Destiny.

All of the money raised from Saturday’s event went to DreamWorks, a foundation to help chronically and clinically ill children and the Christian Motorcyclists Association of South Central Kentucky.

Both groups were responsible for helping make this child’s dream come true.

Destiny has even grabbed the attention of some Nashville songwriters who wrote a song about her. The song will be released later this summer and plans are already in the works for a music video, which Destiny will appear in.
