Kentucky Quakes

The earthquakes that shook the western part of the state Sunday night and early Monday morning measured less than four on the Richter Scale.

Anything above is when everyone starts to worry. No damage or injuries were reported after the five to six second quakes. But, that doesn't mean you don't need to prepare for any catastrophic event. Emergency Medical Agency workers say standing under a door frame is better than nothing, but crouching underneath a heavy piece of furniture is better.
They also say keeping a disaster kit handy with food, water, batteries, and medicine is vital to your survival.
