Police and fire officials continue to investigate a single car accident in Bowling Green that caused several injuries and one fatality.
The vehicle was attempting to pass two other cars when it struck a sign post. It then continued down an embankment and struck a culvert.
Seven people were in the vehicle at the time. The driver, Elivin Menjivar, did not survive the accident. Two passengers were transported by helicopter, one to Vanderbilt Hospital, and another to the medical center. Five other people were tranported by ambulance to the Medical Center. Yesterday's accident ocurred on Jack Johnson and Cemetery roads. There is no word yet on the extent of the injuries...
