Two Smiths Grove residents are in custody in Cincinnati, after trying to rob a Target Store.
31-year old Melissa Vance and 25-year old William Evans, both from Smiths Grove, were taken into custody by Cincinnati Police for receiving stolen property from the Target Store in Florence, Kentucky.
Vance took several packages of Sudafed tablets and attempted to leave the store.
She was stopped by a Loss Prevention officer and kicked him and then later threatened him with a knife.
Vance fled the store and got into a van with Evans and a chase began Northbound on I-75.
Covington Police used stop sticks to try to get the suspects to slow down, but they continued into Cincinnati, where they were stopped less than a mile into Ohio on I-75.
Both suspects are charged with robbery, fleeing and evading, and receiving stolen property.
