If you need cold medicine next week, buying it will be a little more difficult.
A new law aimed at curbing meth abuse goes into affect Monday.
Only pharmacists or pharmacy technicians will be able to sell medicine with pseudoephedrine.
Anyone buying the cold remedy will have to show a photo id and enter his or her name, address, date of birth, and signature in a log.
The new law also prohibits anyone from buying more than nine grams of pseudoephedrine each month.
The drug is a key ingredient in meth.
The liquid and gel forms won't be limited since they're not used to make the illegal drug.
