Apparently Louisville isn't the nation's 16th largest city after all. The U.S. Census Bureau says Louisville isn't even in the top 25. It's 26th, just after Seattle.
The problem is the 83 suburban cities that make up parts of Louisville. They won't count toward the total population until next year, even though Louisville and Jefferson County governments merged in 2003.
The largest city, by the way, is New York City.
