Less than 48 hours after winning a County fair beauty pageant, Police say a 20 year old Kentucky woman was dead.
Brittany Shoap died after the car she was in, crashed while the driver was drunk and speeding.
The other two passengers were ejected from the car and were later taken to the hospital.
The 20-year-old, Shoap had just been named Miss Taylor County Fair.
Police say a combination of speed and drinking and driving caused the crash that ended her life.
Now Police say the driver, Ryan West, may face murder charges.
Pulaski County Sheriff, Todd Wood says, "the elements of wanton murder fit the circumstances. The suspect was under the influence of alcohol."
There is no word yet on what West's blood alcohol level was, but neighbors say there were beer bottles in the area where the accident occurred.
