A Western Kentucky University student is dead Wednesday night after a tragic accident on Natcher Parkway. Twenty-five-year-old Kenneth Rowan was on his way to a 10 a.m. class when he was hit twice by two different vehicles.
First, the driver of a northbound truck lost control on the icy road and crossed the median hitting Rowan. Rowan's car then turned clockwise and collided with a tracker trailer carrying propane.
Rowan was pronounced dead at the scene by the Warren County coroner. Propane did not leak but residents in the immediate area were evacuated until the propane was transferred to another tanker.
