A husband and wife are behind bars accused of sexually abusing a family member.
38-year-old Joey Dale Fields is charged with fleeing and evading police, wanton endangerment and three counts of incest.
His wife, 39-year-old Cheryl Fields is also charged with three counts of incest. Bowling green police say the couple sexually abused the family member in the spring of 2003. Police also say Joey Fields had been having a sexual relationship with the person since they were eight years old.
Police attempted to stop Joey Fields Sunday afternoon after learning he was a suspect in a felony case. Fields refused to stop at 12th and Chestnut Streets and led police on a high speed chase for 25 miles.
The chase ended at Britthaven Nursing Home where Cheryl Fields was employed. Joey Fields surrendered after a two hour standoff with police.
The Fields will be back in court Wednesday morning for a preliminary hearing. Police say multiple charges are pending. Court records show Joey Fields was acquitted of third degree rape in 2001.
