Another Kentucky National Guard soldier is dead after his vehicle hit an explosive device.
22-year-old Ryan Montgomery of Greensburg died Sunday.
He was returning from a convoy escort mission near Baghdad. Two other soldiers were wounded. They were evacuated to a military hospital and are in stable condition. Both are expected to recover from their wounds.
Montgomery is the seventh Kentucky National Guard soldier to die in Iraq since the war began.
The other Kentucky National Guard soldiers include specialist Michael Hayes of Butler County, Sergeant James Sherrill of Ekron, Specialist Eric Toth of Metcalfe County, Sergeant Jonathan Hughes of Lebanon, Sergeant Darrin Potter of Louisville, and 1st Lieutenant Robert Henderson of Alvaton.
