CASA stands for Court Appointed Special Advocates. John Brown, CASA board president, says the volunteers check on, "Basically the living arrangements of the children, the environment the child is living in, and what type of recommendations the volunteers would have to the court as far as future living arrangements, and how the child actually should be supported."
Brown says CASA also helps find permanent homes for the children. Money raised today will help CASA continue its work. First Christian Church in Bowling Green hosted the event.
