Beech Bend Road Condemnation Continues

Although Warren County only needs to purchase three-tenths of an acre strip of Beech Bend Road, the owner of the land, Matt Baker, wants them to buy all nine acres of the property, including his house.

He's set the price at $1,000,000. The property has been assessed at $141,500. An appraisal done in May set its value at $232,000. The fiscal court voted today to table any action on the condemnation until a later date.
