Kentucky State Police and the Simpson County Coroner's office is investigating the shooting death of 18-year-old Matthew Kitchens.
Kitchens was pronounced dead near his home on Barnes School Road at 4:45 p.m. Wednesday.
He and two friends had been sledding before the incident happened. Kitchens was shot in the face.
