The remains of a soldier listed as missing in action 36 years ago have been identified. His parents in Russell Springs say he'll be buried there with full military honors.
Twenty-one-year-old Specialist Raymond Edward Bobe was born in Birmingham, Alabama. He moved to Russell Springs with his family when a young boy.
His father says Raymond and four other soldiers died March 16, 1969 when their U-21 aircraft went down over North Vietnam.
A graveside funeral service is scheduled for Saturday morning at the Lucenda Cemetery in Russell Springs. Full military honors are planned with a Fort Campbell Honor Guard to participate.
