New information is released regarding the seven-year-old Kentucky boy charged with murdering his mother's boyfriend.
Police say 62-year-old Robert Sanders was asleep when he was stabbed by the child. Sanders died from a knife wound to his upper left chest on June 29.
The report also says the boy's mother knew her son had violent tendencies.
The mother, Teresa sanders, is charged with second-degree criminal abuse and endangering the welfare of a minor.
Police originally said Sanders knew her son killed Robert and charged her with complicity to murder. That charge was based on the mother not telling police what she knew.
The seven-year-old has admitted to the slaying.
