Your Hometown Television along with the Barren River District Health Department and Houchen's have teamed up to sponsor the 5 a Day Challenge. The program is aimed at inspiring and supporting you in you quest to eat at least 5 servings of fruit and vegetables a day.
Currently, Kentucky ranks 48th with only 16 percent of its population accomplishing the goal of 5 servings each day. Overwhelming scientific evidence shows that eating the recommended servings of fruits and veggies daily helps prevent cancer, stroke, cataracts, hypertension and obesity.
