Trade Show

The Recreation Vehicle Industry Association has held its annual trade show in Louisville for the past 40 years, but it has apparently out-grown what the city has to offer.

Spokesman Mike Hutya says the staff is looking at alternative sites.

The show is one of Louisville's top ten meetings and conventions but now needs more space than is available at the Kentucky Fair and Exposition Center.

The RV show brings about $8.4 million in spending to Louisville each year, making it the ninth-largest show.

Hutya says the 2005 RV show could be the last held in Louisville if the association can't be assured of more space for its manufacturers to exhibit their big vehicles. They've been using 660,000 square feet and need 90,000 more.
