An Oregon child may need a place to de-stress after she finds out the circumstances of her birth.
That's because her father is actually her mother.
That's right, a man says he is expecting to give birth to a baby girl in July.
Aaron Black owns the business next door to Define Normal T-Shirt Printing.
It's the company owned by this man, Thomas Beatie and his wife.
"Is Thomas pregnant?" asked Black.
"Oh. Oh. I have no idea. This is, I don't know. Why? I wouldn't know."
The seemingly pregnant picture appears on the website Advocate.com.
That's where Thomas Beatie himself writes about some interesting topics.
Thomas is five months pregnant.
He used to be a woman, but kept his female reproductive organs after a sex change.
He and his legally married wife are expecting a baby girl in July.
When asked if Black had seen Beatie's belly, Black replied,
"No. No. I haven't seen them here in a while."
Neighbors haven't seen the couple at their house for days.
One tells us they're in New York and that a TV crew, possibly from a tabloid, had been following their every move.
"Quite frankly I think it's a hoax," stated Ron Schlieper.
"I saw him a few days ago and he didn't look like that. He was walking down the street with who I thought was his wife, Nancy and I don't recall seeing a belly. If that was a month ago, he would have been much bigger just a few days ago."
Schlieper says Thomas Beatie's wife told him that she was pregnant.
But by phone, Thomas said this picture of him was taken a month ago.
Another neighbor tells us the couple left their house every week for fertility treatments in Portland.
In the article, Beatie writes he had to go through several doctors before finding one that would help him get pregnant.
The whole thing has caught people in neighboring businesses off guard.
"I'm just like whoa," laughed resident Deanna Smith.
"I couldn't say that he looks pregnant," exclaimed resident Josh Love.
"I can stick my stomach out and almost make it look like that."
