Autopsies show five members of an Iowa City family, that were found dead in their home on Mar. 24, were beaten to death.

According the results, Sheryl Sueppel and her four children died from blunt force trauma to their upper torsos and heads.

Police say Steven Sueppel killed his wife and four children, then killed himself by crashing his van into a concrete pillar.

Sueppel had been facing trial for embezzlement and money laundering.

Authorities say the former bank vice president left a long note showing he was having trouble dealing with his problems.
