Police in Richmond are investigating allegations that hazing led to an Eastern Kentucky University student being hospitalized earlier in March.

Richmond Police Chief Larry Brock says 23-year-old student Brent Whiteside and his attorneys formally filed a complaint last week with the department.

Brock says the complaint alleges the victim was assaulted at numerous locations within the city from late January until early March.

Officials at Eastern Kentucky University have suspended the Kappa Alpha Psi fraternity while they investigate the alleged hazing.
