Christian County high school students will have some extra time off, after the roof is damaged from the heavy rains.
A portion of the roof of the high school collapsed because of high winds from a storm, which preceded Katrina's remnants.
That part of the roof covered the science lab, and other classrooms were also damaged.
Christian County Superintendent, Bob Lovingwood said, "We had damage to our gym floor, we had roof damage, and two classrooms were destroyed."
Christian County High school will now be closed until September 6th.
All Christian County schools will be on a one hour delay Wednesday.
