Firefighters in Clinton County spent much of the day battling a massive fire at a charcoal plant.

The flames broke out at Cowboy's Charcoal around 2 a.m.

Fire officials say the blaze started in a building that serves as a warehouse for the finished charcoal.

"It's the nature of the business, we don't know," said Chief Robert Roeper, of the Albany Fire Dept.

They say two trucks that were backed up to the building also caught fire.

But firefighters were able to drive those vehicles away then put out the flames.

It's not clear what started the fire.

There were no injuries reported.
